WSL Legend Gilly Flaherty visits FFE in Norwich
We couldn’t have been more delighted than to host our first ever girls only ‘FFE masterclass’ session this easter, with none other than the WSL’s all-time leading appearance maker, Gilly Flaherty.
Gilly was joined by nearly 50 budding female players during the Easter break to hopefully pick up hints and tips on what it takes to make it the very top of the female game, but also what it takes to stay there.
Throughout the day, the players were taken through a series of practices and challenges designed by Gilly to best replicate not only her own journey in the womens game, but to help these young hopeful superstars of the future to have a better understanding of just what it takes to make it.
Throughout the day not only were the players treated to some masterful coaching, tips and insights from Gilly herself, but some lucky girls even got to play with her in their team! As always, there were the ever popular Q&A opportunities, with some challenging and testing questions asked from the excited young players in attendance.
On behalf of the players and parents in attendance, we at FFE will be eternally grateful to Gilly for giving up her time to come and show support to so many young girls in Norfolk. We very much look forward to having you back very soon for another instalment of our master class series.
